Nosy Sakatia
Located west of Nosy-Be, Nosy Sakatia is nicknamed Orchids Island. It enables hiking on small paths, with the help of a guide or on your own. Depending on the tides you can snorkel in search of sea turtles in Sakatia (very large turtles that feed with seaweeds of the surrounding bottoms which are rich in fish).
Nosy Komba / Nosy Tanikely
It is a combination of islands located south of Nosy-Be, easy to access. First you will visit Nosy-Komba, the Lemur Island and then Nosy Tanikely which is a protected underwater reserve. Dive into a real life-size aquarium, a few meters from the beach, with your mask and snorkel and contemplate the splendid corals, anemones, multi-coloured fish and sea turtles.
Nosy Vorona
Imagine an idyllic island just for you ! First you will stop on a white sandbank to enjoy a smooth swim in the open waters, then discover Nosy Komba, the Lemur Island, particularly its artisanal and animal life.
In the late morning, go to your private island to snorkel in limpid water before enjoying lunch at an ornate table facing the sea, feet in the sand. You will end the day with a short walk in the primary forest at Lokobe reserve.
Nosy Fanihy
C’est une île qui est située au nord de Nosy-Be, très authentique et restée très sauvage car toute construction et tout hébergement sont interdits. C’est une île sacrée qui n’est pas visitable toute l’année à cause du varatraza (vent du nord) … une excursion extraordinaire pour les plus chanceux d’entre vous qui auraient l’occasion de la faire.
Nosy Mamoko
Cette très belle excursion sera rythmée par la rencontre avec les plus beaux baobabs de la baie de Nosy-Be, appelée la baie d’Ampasindava. It will offer you a matchless meet with its famous "baobab in love" at the end of the beach. Après la visite de l’authentique village de pêcheurs, vous pourrez mettre le cap sur une cascade à 15 minutes de bateau, sous laquelle vous dégusterez un déjeuner typique local, à l’ombre d’un badamier.
Nosy Iranja
Set an hour and half from Nosy-Be by speedboat, it is a combination of two islands connected by a very white and fine sandbank which is covered at high tide. It is an idyllic island with turquoise blue, bright white, and emerald green sea. Turtles still come there to lay their eggs, hence its name Turtle Island.

You can visit hell-Ville the chief town of Nosy-be by 4L, mythical vehicle of Madagascar, discover its covered market with its spices, visit the SIRAMA sugar refinery, admire a sacred tree (thousand-year-old banyan), exotic plants and fruit trees (including ylang-ylang, emblematic tree of Nosy-be producing famous essential oil), stopover to swim and savour lobsters on the beautiful Andilana beach and end the day at Mont Passot to enjoy the splendid sunset with a 360° view over the whole island, with its hilly reliefs, bays and lakes.
Lokobe
Not far from ITAMPOLO RESORT Domain there is a primary forest, the last protected one in Nosy-Be, with its large variety of medicinal and endemic plants of Madagascar and its thousand-year-old trees.
You can also access it by canoe, if you feel like rowing, or by motorized canoe. A local guide will come to make you discover this exceptional forest.
Half Day in Hell-Ville
Visit of Hell-Ville (the chief-town of Nosy-Be), are scheduled :
- Its covered market, spices, stalls of crabs, tropical fruits
- Its buildings (historical monuments and colonial buildings); its tablecloth market and port
- Free time for some shopping
- Cocktail on Mont Passot, the highest point of the island, to admire a magnificent sunset ... a sight not to be missed !

A complete schedule to discover Nosy-Be differently :
- The village of Dzamandzar, the SIRAMA sugar factory, a traditional sculptor and the sacred waterfall of Androadroatra

Nature and Solidarity Day
Spend a day in total immersion and discover the local traditional life of Andrahibo, a bush village North of Nosy-be. With a guide, you will see the rice pounding techniques of the women in the village, those of the carpenter for house construction, or the traditional hair braiding. You will meet small producers of Ylang Ylang and visit an artisanal still and its distillation process to get Ylang Ylang essential oil, a true pillar of the local economy. You will visit the village school and have lunch at one of the local’s where you will learn to prepare a typical Malagasy meal in the local way.
A part of the amount of the excursion will be donated to the association Home Madagascar in order to support the development effort for education and health sectors, for the conservation of the environment in the area, and the financing of villagers' professional projects in the form of micro-credits.

Come and discover on horseback the most inaccessible trails of Nosy Be. Horseback riding for all ages supervised by qualified instructors will allow you to discover the Perfume Island. From the interior of the Lands with the sacred lakes, to the superb warm sand beaches, you cannot resist to a sea bath on horseback, convivially with family or friends.
Trekking
Exploring peacefully the interior of the island on foot is a very nice way to discover the Nosy-Bean landscape. Suitable treks for all types of hikers will take you through paths rich in fauna and flora comments, between the sacred lakes, far from tarred roads and engine noise. Nosy Iranja Bivouac
An hour and half navigation to make you discover the coast of The Big Land Madagascar, but also the rich marine fauna in migration depending on the time of year.
During these two days, you will go around the craftsmen on the beach, or snorkel to watch sea turtles which chose Nosy Iranja as a breeding bastion on the Nosy-Be archipelago. You will also visit its turtle farm.
You will take possession of your traditional accommodation by the beach, a few steps from the water, like real Robinsons and have lunch, your feet in the sand, facing the azure sea, the ideal place to enjoy a hearty seafood buffet.
At the end of the day, let yourself be carried away by the convivial vibes of the evening, under a sublime starry sky, worthy of a dream decor.
Nosy Mitsio Bivouac
The Mitsio Islands are a volcanic archipelago about 45 miles from Nosy-Be. Among these islands, only the largest "La Grande Mitsio" is inhabited and the others inherited the name of "Virgin Islands".
On the first day, you will visit Les 4 Frères (The Four Brothers), it is an ancient crater, a four-sided monolith with smooth walls emerging from the surface of the sea. Then discover the Grande Mitsio, where you will settle in your traditional accommodation by the beach, a few steps from the water, like real Robinsons.
The next day, head for Nosy Sakatia, the Orchid Island, where you will have lunch on a private beach to join Madirokely beach in Nosy-Be afterwards.

Deep sea fishing
Nosy-be est l’un des plus beaux spots de pêche au monde … Il est possible de pratiquer plusieurs styles de pêche (traîne, poppers, jigging, palangrotte, dérive… ). L’attrait de Nosy-Be : le poisson est varié, coloré, et surtout présent 10/12 mois et en très grande quantité. La pêche au gros ou plutôt pêche sportive est surtout pratiquée « catch and release « (on fait la photo et on relâche) pour certaines espèces. Il n’est pas rare de pêcher 60 espèces différentes en une semaine : marlin, espadon voilier, Carangue ignobilis, Dorade Coryphène, Wahoo, Thazar, Mérou…

Whale and Whale Shark Trip
Come and enjoy the various humpback whales that come in the warm waters of Nosy-Be, to breed and give birth to their calves. This migration is an opportunity to witness an amazing show, to educate travellers about these marine mammals and to collect scientific data to understand better the movement of these mammals around Madagascar. In addition to humpback whales, it is not uncommon to come across dolphins who come to play around the boat.
You can make water launches with whale sharks, the biggest fish in the world, swim alongside them, and film them during their meal of plankton. You can also swim with different species of sea turtles.

Escape from Nosy be for an intrusion on the mainland and discover this beautiful region of Ambanja through our half-day excursions. You can visit the famous cocoa and coffee plantations, but also an Ylang-Ylang distillery, and have lunch in the shade within the plantation itself.
You could also let yourself slide down the Sambirano River aboard a traditional canoe, as far as the Bons Pères waterfall, bathe in the rocky basins and then have lunch.
Finally, let yourself be guided along in the ecosystem of the mangrove as surprising as it is essential and partake in the replanting of mangrove trees in a spirit of eco-responsible tourism. Lunch will be offered by the mangrove women association.
